From Skills to Self-Employment: Jake Launches Acre Gardening Services

We are proud to share the inspiring journey of Jake, who has successfully established his own business, Acre Gardening Services, after taking part in the Skills for Success project delivered by GLA Group in partnership with MENTA.

Jake joined the programme looking to rebuild his life and develop new skills following a period of personal challenge. Through hard work, commitment, and the right support, he is now self-employed as a professional gardener.

As part of his transition into work, GLA Group provided Jake with a full set of high-quality gardening tools — made possible through funding support from LearnTo CIC, who were delighted to contribute. These tools gave Jake the practical foundation he needed to launch his business with confidence.
